What can we do?

Witch-hunting is still rampant in Africa…

Members of religious minority groups in Iran are being persecuted…

Children are being forced into being camel jockeys in the UAE…

Bloggers are under threat in Cuba…

Crackdown on press freedom in Belarus and Kazakhstan…

And yes, we just wrote a little preview of what we have covered in the first section of this issue of Independent World Report.

To pose the question: What can we do, if and when freedoms and liberties come under attack anywhere in our world?

What can we do when humanity suffers in any corner of our world — in Germany or Italy or Burma?

The first step maybe to confirm the fact, that this is indeed our world and we have the choice of doing something.

On page sixteen of this magazine, we have presented a moving example of what can be done.

She is doing her work, are we going to join her?
